Send us Fan Mail **Season 17 is here!** Karen and Jack are back for a brand-new season of **The Events Insight**, and joining them for the first…
[upbeat music] [audience cheering] So we're back.
Again, another conversation with another brilliant, brilliant guest.
So I'm not gonna really gonna introduce you, 'cause why, why would I do that? So I'm gonna hand over.
We've got lovely Danielle with us.
So Danielle, can you just introduce to our listeners who you are, where, where you're currently working, and just give us an overview of your current responsibilities, please?
Um, so my name is Danielle Bounds, and I am the new business director at the NEC, the Nation's Experience Capital.
And tell us a little bit, what does that mean?
[laughs]
Um, whatever day comes around is dictating what's happening on that particular day.
Um, and more specifically, um, new business and new exhibitions, new content, new IP, um, into the venue.
Um, I have kind of more than 20 odd years, um, I only started when I was three, um, in the wider events industry.
Um, but predominantly before this it was around conferences and events as opposed to exhibitions.
Um, so all of the kind of large scale exhibitions that you know and love, and then also some more of that kind of immersive content that's coming through at the moment, and some of those more consumer-led, um, exhibitions sit under my remit.
There's, there's a lot of the im- immersive side coming through, particularly at the NEC, isn't there now? Like, you've got the Tutankhamun, and you've got the Peppa Pig for the little younger listeners as well.
Are you f- ...
How are you finding that's, that's, that's been, um, responded to by the public?
Um, you talk about Peppa but just being for children, but actually I was there over the weekend hosting some clients and their families, and I actually think I enjoyed it just as much as the children.
