**Episode 1** What do elite performers, special forces leaders and successful business people actually have in common? 1000's of hours of conversations and thinking have led us to this point. In…
Martin JonesHost... seven to 10 years?

It's about helping people to develop a mindset that isn't thrown into, into disarray by, by uncertainty, by chaos.

So how can we change people's thinking? How do we build performance systems? And that, that's what I've been doing in, in areas of UK defense and security that are, that are burdened by secrecy.

So alongside that, I created a podcast, the Optimize Human Form Performance Podcast, which is for those people who are burdened by secrecy.

It was about bringing together experts who either have done research in these areas, who've lived and worked in these areas, who have got some kind of insight into that sort of world.

It's about providing a resource so that those individuals can learn something, um, when they're not behind the wire, when they're not in a, a role which means they can't necessarily access the people who can train them.

So for the past seven to 10 years, that's been my, my career really, working face-to-face, building performance systems essentially.
Yeah, and it was a few years ago, probably five or six years ago, I recognized the opportunity that that could add to what we do at Duratus.
I, uh, the last part of my military career, I was involved in trying to, uh, help the potential of the aspirants that wanted to join the e- the elite teams.
Um- ... of defence and, um, I, I, I loved that job of coaching and mentoring them.
I, I also understood my own failings in being able to communicate some of the skills that they need, and I developed it through that.
But I, I, I loved that journey of helping people release their potential.
So that, um, I set up Duratus.
I went on a bit of a journey myself of, of deeper understanding and, um, have continued with that.
We're now in a place where we, we coach business leaders, um, that are growing their business, they're scaling, they're facing teamwork challenges, they're facing leadership challenges that they never expected when they had this initial idea of a great business opportunity.
They've got people, they've got teams, and all of those people, all of those things mashed together-
... cause them tensions.
