Episode 289 - Nikolai Haram Svorte, World’s Best Sommelier

Thank you very much.

What an introduction.

Thank

you.

You're very welcome.

And congratulations once again.

Thank you.

I appreciate it.

And you sound so modest about the whole thing.

And this was very typical of your performance, actually, quite understated and calm.

Has it sunk in now?

Not fully, no.

I mean, at least I've had the time to, I think, respond to all the messages that have come in, which has been pretty overwhelming.

But yeah, no, it's been a crazy week.

I I had the most awesome reception at the airport with colleagues and friends waiting there with champagne and Norwegian flags.

And then a similar reception at the office where I worked the next day.

And then the next day I got ill and I've been in bed for the last two days.

So it's been a bit of everything, but yeah.

Yeah.

Yeah.

And it's still

a bit of time to let it sink in, I think.

A bit of a roller coaster because there must be a bit of a come down anyway after the pressure of something like that and all the love you got that you mentioned that wonderful reception at the airport, which I saw pictures of on your Instagram feed.

And maybe it wasn't yours.

Maybe it was the Sommelier Association's feed.
