Finding the Passion in Your Life

I found an interesting article that came out in England about finding the passion in your life, and it had the most interesting points and ones I agree with.

Interesting, and I agree with them, so I thought I'd share them with you.

We get calls, "I don't know what my passion is," and some of you are waiting for a eureka moment, that you'll read something, see something, do something, hear something, and bing.

Doesn't work that way.

Takes work.

It...

There is no eureka moment.

But a lot of you fall into life routines that get boring and unfulfilled.

You wanna do something that matters, but you don't know what the heck to do.

So the article goes on with a number of points that I thought would be fun to share with you.

First one: ask yourself these three simple questions.

First one: what subject could I read 500 books about without getting bored? Second question: what could I do for five straight years without getting paid? Forget the practicalities.

We're just talking about the passion.

What could I do for five years straight without getting paid? Third question: what would I spend my time doing if I had complete financial abundance to do anything? So basically, these questions are taking some of the practicalities out of it and just going to your core.

Don't assume that your passion should be your job.

In my case, I have lots of passions, but my main one is my job.

That ain't necessarily so for maybe even not most people.

The job is the way to the practicalities so that you can then entertain your passion.

So make your money in some way that will give you the time to do what you really love to do.

Your job doesn't have to be the passion.

It can be the practicality.

[laughs] Ask another question.

Make a list of people you're jealous of.

Gives you clarity because you start seeing what it is you're jealous of.

There'll probably be a pattern.
