Dom HarveyHostfor that second tribal council but the first one you know watching it unspoiled not knowing whether or not sari is definitely going to play her extra vote who knows what i very fun stuff and i think in the grand scheme of this twist let's just get into that uh and then we'll hit the votes as they come and a couple other things along the way but i think i'm kind of with your, what I presume to be your edgelord defense of this in general, in terms of this being an interesting twist that does a good job of the always crucial kind of making it less easy for people to just steamroll and for the majority to just kind of effortlessly, not effortlessly, but you know what I'm saying, get their way at what could otherwise be a really interesting point in the game.
it's completely setting aside the way this ultimately played out in either of the cases of the votes that we went to.
I think it is concerning to me to say the least that on the heels of all the other twists we've just had.
So if we go back to the, at least merge in air quotes at final 17, where we had the blood moon that got us down to 14 and, Dee left in a pretty straightforward round, although there was that...
If you want to call it a twist, there was at least that game mechanic where they were split into two groups and only one of the two groups got to compete for immunity.
But then we had... double duos we had the jimmy fallon of it all we had the mr beast of it all and then we come in here at final nine and have yet another brand new thing the specifics of which at that point really don't make a difference as far as i'm concerned because what concerns me is is that they are making the decision to go this route at specifically final nine, I think is a big tipping point in any random season of Survivor.
At least one would anticipate that that would be one of the most likely rounds to play out in an interesting way, just on its own, without the need of any sort of this twist or any other twist.
And at the time where they're like mapping out how this season is going to go in terms of game structure to know that they had this all star blowout anniversary cast.
If you were to draft like rounds of survivor that have plenty of chance to be very interesting to, on their own to see that they still felt compelled even after all the twists that led up to this point.
And even with this cast that was going to be, I would say really reliably good and gunning to play and, Pretty much no matter how things broke by the time we wound up at final nine, seeing that even the final nine round on Survivor 50 was not safe from Jeff's, as far as I can tell, kind of panic.
That Survivor, in its more basic form, is maybe broken is too strong of a word, but at the very least unreliably interesting as far as he's concerned.
At no point either now or in the future is he ever going to have faith in any cast at any point in the game on any season to just be interesting on its own.

yeah any one of these twists you can talk about the merits but in isolation you can see why even if you don't like it they might talk themselves into it when you have them all laid next to each other on the board and you have to look far and wide to just find a normal week in the middle there like we're far enough down the rabbit hole that uh the biggest twist of the season might be if next week is just a normal vote without any weird uh bomb being dropped uh on it from above um At that point, it really does start to warp how the game plays out.

In terms of this one, though, so I say this as not a fan, generally, of the whole mercatory thing of spreading into these tiny subgroups and then they get to vote or whatever, but if you wanted to make a case for that twist on the whole, you could use this week and its outcome as a pretty good exhibition of it.

I don't like that we got something that happened that basically could never have happened in a normal vote because as...

During the duo's twist, Ozzy saying he wishes Seri was here to tell him what to do.

If Seri was just physically there and able to talk to Ozzy, I don't think this happens.
