happy to be chatting uh some interesting thunder news over the last couple days uh since the draft and i'd love to get some updated feelings and maybe share some on uh the thunder selection in the first round and then we have a an addition that we haven't got to talk about yet and that is the second round pick um so let's go uh Let's go with Brandon.

Let's start first with Isaiah Hardenstein was reported yesterday in a very oddly worded report that he has signed essentially a three-year $75 million extension.

This is Isaiah Hartenstein has been such a key player, won in the championship run and in back-to-back 64 and 68 win seasons.

Obviously, what he does on the court goes without saying between the defense, the rebounding, the playmaking, the push shot, everything that he provides.

is a given, but then like just how much he's entrenched himself within the OKC community and all the community work that he does, like truly, truly goes above and beyond and then above and beyond the above and beyond when it comes to community work.

And you see that in the contract, he could have got more than $25 million a year in the open market.

I think that this shows two things, how committed he is to Oklahoma city and how entrenched he is in the community.

And then also how much the organization values Isaiah Harnstein, because obviously there's going to be a lot of big decisions to be made within this roster and and salary cap and tax savings and all those things.

So even though it is a very team friendly deal, it's still a commitment of $25 million when there's a lot of contracts and decisions to be made.

So I think that this very much says that Hartenstein wants to be an OKC and OKC wants Hartenstein to be here.

And on court, what this means is that the Thunder are going to have Five really, really good bigs.
