In this episode, Stone, Morgan, and Christy talk about Filefinity! What's that, you say? Filefinity is an incredible CNC file resource for Onefinity users. Users can download actual g-code from the…
Today is an exciting day.
We've got a very exciting thing to talk about.
Something that we've been working on for a very long time.
I contributed very little, but now I'm part of the promoting it.
So, Filefinity.
That's
it.
One word, one website, infinite possibilities.
Infinite files.
They are technically finite, but we're getting there.
True.
But Filefinity.
So when did we announce that? Just last week?
Last Thursday.
Last Thursday.
So not even a full week ago.
Filefinity is something that we've been working on for a very, very long time.
I personally I have a I have a bamboo 3D printer.
And what I love about that is that you can just go to a website and download a file and it will send it straight to the printer and just print the thing.
And that's kind of what we were going for was something that we've got a lot of CNC users who who fully understand the mechanics of the machine.
But design and tool pathing like programming tool paths and stuff isn't necessarily like the forte.
So it it kind of starts collecting dust a little bit.
And we wanted to have a platform where people can just get a file, see something they like to they like and they want to make and just remove all the barriers to prevent that prevent them from making it.
So they see a thing on the Web site, they download it, they send it straight to the machine.
The machine cuts it so they don't have to design or program any tool paths.
