AFLW Gather Round 2027 a LOCK!!

I thought it might be therapeutic, Chantel, for you to maybe talk to us in the huddle this week about Frio's W team.

Yes, well, they won on the weekend, which was fantastic to see.

They got the W against Adelaide, so that we talk about them.

We haven't really spoken too much about interstate teams, especially the WA teams.

So yeah, Fremantle, they won up against Adelaide in Adelaide, which is huge.

They now, I believe, sit in the top eight on the ladder.

So I don't think they've played as well as that for at least a couple of years.

I mean, I said in 2020, if it wasn't for COVID in that COVID year, Fremantle would have won the flag.

And then they dropped off a little bit, lost some players, players came out of form, but I felt like they were really solid on the weekend and they really started to get their ball movement going.

And I think Hayley Miller's back in her all Australian form, which is absolutely amazing to see.

She's one of my favourite players.

So, Love to see that.

I think she's really thriving, not having, I guess, the burden of being a captain.

Obviously, I understand it's taken the reins again of being captain.

I thought Eden Zanker's really starting to flow well with that midfield group.

She's took a few marks and kicked a few goals, which is what we want from her.

We know she's so good.

And I did speak about...

Kiara Bowers in our first episode, she was the player that I would have taken in our Cops and Robbers segment.

She was unreal.

She had 30-2.

What more do you want from her? She was just tackling hard all day.

The way they came up to the ball carrier and the pressure that they put on to Adelaide, Adelaide didn't know what to do with the ball, so...

Really loved what I saw from Fremantle on the weekend.

Yeah.
