This week, baby listeners, we're comparing Leonie Swann's Three Bags Full with The Sheep Detectives, two stories that technically begin the same way—George is dead and his sheep decide to…
I would like to just say I... we'll get into it it it lost its uh charm a little bit but the sheep being so earnest in their pursuit of solving george's murder and yet so very adorably wrong i actually did like that it got old by the end but i thought it was very cute are you talking about in the in the novel In both.
In the movie, I don't think it was annoying because the movie was only so long.
What I liked about the adaptation that was not different, I liked the fact that the sheep were the investigators.
And because they had heard about that, they had the mysteries read to them that they thought they could solve it.
because, you know, he loved the sheep and was completely, you know, compassionate to them and kind to them.
But the people in the town he had issues with, so he wasn't just kind of this pushover guy.
He wasn't just friendly with everybody, right? Um, yeah, he had issues and, you know, give or give, take that for what it was.
For one, it beefed up the murder mystery part that so many, you know, they, they all had some motive going on that you could easily derive or whatever, but.
What I got, and this is a little, maybe this is pretentious, but what I enjoyed about it was that it was like the death of George.
