bob fantastic thank you for having me um thank you for the great introduction it's always a honor and a pleasure to be on your show

Well, tell us about your show now on Saturday afternoons from 2 to 4, the Chief Paul Sykes Show.

Of course, I know obviously your expertise is public safety, and you'll be discussing a lot of topics related to that over the weeks.

But you're going to be branching out and talking about a lot of different kinds of topics too, right?

Yeah, I tend to get into things that I feel passionate about, you know, health and wellness a little bit, things that affect law enforcement as well as all of us in our community, and that is quality of life.

So we talk about public safety.

You know, every now and again, politics will sneak into the equation.

For instance, you know, this Saturday at 3 p.m. on my show, we'll have Greg Cunningham on for Congress, and we get a chance to ask questions.

You know, what is it you're going to do that's different than what we've done? And what can we expect in the event you get that seat? My first episode that I filmed there a couple weeks ago, I retired from the chief of the SLETA position.

On the 18th of September, on the 19th, I was here at the show.

The next day, I went to tell the audience, you can't get any fresher with the experience.

Three days before that, I had been on a barricaded gunman situation as the incident commander for three hours until we got the FBI SWAT team there.

It's been a big year, a year as the chief of police.

uh, for the Pueblo of Isleta, great people, great organization.

Um, but I'll tell you, there's not a chief of police anywhere in this nation that has an easy job.

It's 14 hours a day.

You don't see your family.
