FULLTANK 3295: What Was Meant to Bury You Will Lift You

Friend, I hope you're listening to me.

Sometimes life throws dirt at you.

Criticism, rejection, offense, betrayal.

unfairness, failure, your own mistakes.

And if you keep all that dirt inside your heart, eventually it becomes emotional burden.

Resentment piles up, bitterness piles up, old wounds pile up.

And before you know it, you'll be buried.

Don't do that.

There's another option.

In today's gospel, Jesus confronts people who are obsessed with cleaning the outside while neglecting the inside.

Perhaps God is asking you today, what's cluttering your heart? Maybe it's time to clean house.

When people throw dirt at you, don't store it.

Shake it off and step up.

Learn from it.

Grow from it.

Forgive.

Set boundaries when necessary, then move forward.

Say this aloud with me.

The difficulty that was meant to destroy me, God will use to deliver me.

Oh, yes.

Because sometimes the very thing you thought would bury you becomes the ground beneath your feet, and you will rise up.

Here's my big question I want you to answer in the comments below.

What emotional clutter do you need to shake off today? Oh, yes.

What emotional clutter do you need to shake off today? Write it down.

We're going to be praying that you'll be able to step up and move higher.
