This one starts as a correction and doesn’t stay one. Last episode, talking about auth, Matt said that after the IdentityServer licence change Microsoft “closed ranks” and stopped taking third-party…

So I said, so last time we were talking about auth and other things we've forgotten.

And I said at one point during the episode that after the identity server license changed and Microsoft removed it from the templates, the phrase I used was that they closed ranks and that they started bringing in everything and avoiding kind of third party dependencies.
I mean, I've made the comment before that you don't normally say that, but if I've made the comment before, then it means that you do say it.

And I looked into it and I found like a whole bunch of dependencies in like a whole bunch of things.

I think we gave the example last time of newtonsoft.json, which is kind of being replaced by system.text.json. And, you know, it's not really third party anymore anyway.

But the thing that I looked at, and I can give a whole bunch of examples, right? But the thing that I looked at that made me realize that, Okay, it's clearly not correct, is Aspire.

So in Aspire, you have service defaults, and service defaults injects a whole bunch of stuff.

So the reason that I was looking at Polly was because, no, sorry, I was looking at Aspire, and that's why I saw it.

But the reason I was thinking about Polly, and that made me think, oh, wait, that's in Aspire, is because of that library I mentioned last week that I have not made public yet, but it is finished.
