Bras

There is no doubt in my mind that you have more bras in your wardrobe than you need, than you wear, than fit.

You will have definitely bras that you can declutter.

I have bras that I can declutter and I'm a fairly minimalist when it comes to my clothing.

I think what often happens is when there's an area like our bras where it's annoying to acquire bras, like I don't know about you, but I find bras just the most annoying thing ever.

I only wear them because it's socially kind of expected and it's more comfortable than going braless for me.

I've got a fairly large bust size and so I can't even just walk into a local Target and buy a bra.

I have to buy them from a specific place and it's a pain in the neck.

And so what that means and what it might mean for you as well is that you tend to keep a hold of bras, even if they're not quite fitting and they're not quite the best anymore, because the effort is so high to acquire new ones that are better than what you have.

Sometimes you're like, well, it mostly fits.

And so that's less awkward, less uncomfortable, less time consuming than actually going and getting a bra.

I am well past the stage in life where I would ever just buy a bra off the shelf anymore.

I just don't go and look at the hanger and go, yep, 12C, I will buy that.

I actually go and I always will get a bra fitted now.

That's just the stage of life I'm at.

In fact, I've probably been at that stage of life for 20 years because I'm going to invest in a bra.

So what you may not know, if you're not someone who has a larger bust size, is that bras get flippant expensive.

I have spent $300 on a bra before.

A really, really good sports bra can cost hundreds of dollars.

Or you might be in a position where you've got heaps of flexibility and choice and low cost options.

But even for you ladies who can go and grab something off the shelf at any store that you go to, my guess is that you still don't enjoy bra shopping, that you still have bras in your wardrobe that you're not wearing.

And some of the reasons that we do that is like that high cost to actually go and get the right fitting bra, blah, blah, blah, blah.

That's annoying.

But also sometimes we look at bras and if you've spent a bit of money on a bra, you keep it because you're like, well, that was a $90 bra.

Maybe I will wear it again.

I bought it for that particular dress that I no longer have the dress.
