Look, last episode I did not have the time to get to discuss my take on this recent merger between Paramount and Warner Brothers, but I just wanted to kind of catch you up to speed with this because it has been one of the most talked about mergers, I mean, it's been going on for so long, so let me catch you up on it.

So, paramount has finally completed this merger 110 billion dollars i believe it was actually close to 111 billion dollars uh mergers to form skydance the deal put ceo david ellison in control of one of the world's largest entertainment companies uh says here that paramount skydance recently completed its blockbuster as i mentioned the price uh Takeover of Warner Brothers Discovery, creating a Hollywood heavyweight called Skydance and handing CEO David Ellison control of one of the world's, as I mentioned earlier, world's largest entertainment companies.

Now, the deal brings together the studios behind Mission Impossible, Harry Potter, DC Studios, along with major television and streaming networks such as CBS, CNN.

Now, shares of the combined company moves to the New York Stock Exchange for Nasdaq in a trade under the ticker SKYD.

Now, settlements with... a coalition of states, and a Hollywood writers' union removed the main legal barriers to the merger.

Now, one of the largest in media history, okay? One of the world's largest ones.

It comes as Hollywood faces a declining cable TV subscription, high cost of competing for streaming audiences, and persistent pressure for unions over jobs and creators' rights.

Now, Ellison in recent weeks has shared that The Skydance name was chosen to retain the individual identity, the individual identities of Paramount and Warner Brothers Studios, rather than combining them under a new brand.

Now, analysts, however, said the name reinforced the extent of Ellison's control, highlighting how some of Hollywood's most iconic brands now answer to him, and how he has a platform to impose his strategy on culture.

Now, the issue that I have, y'all, before I continue on this article, there is no competitors.

And even a number of, I mean, eventually they're all going to merge into one.

Because I remember from the get-go, when they first started with streaming, it was, for me, I think there was like your top three.

Then you start to have Discovery+, right? Then you start to have other news networks start to have their own streaming.
