You know, when I was thinking through my law school experience and how it could have been different, I mean, I would come right out and say I really enjoyed law school and I actually wouldn't change very much.
I know that's crazy to say, like, oh, you really liked law school, but I did.
But if I had to change one thing or if I had had one piece of advice, um maybe it would have been to like figure out the system a little earlier um i kind of took this like ignorance's bliss head in the clouds approach my 1l year which was great and fine and it all worked out fine um but there were definitely people who showed up on day one like knowing the game that gets played in law school and having their strategy set out And I didn't.
I, in retrospect, the biggest mistake I made was not understanding what I was walking into.
The one factor that differentiated For 97, 98% of us, that top 2%, they were just uniquely gifted.
But for the bulk of the class, the one thing that differentiated was the ability to work, to focus.
And, yeah, I sort of walked in assuming it was going to be the way it had been in undergraduate.
So looking back, I wish I had fully understood the amount of dedication and commitment that it would take to excel.
