Javier Miller-EstradaHostSo well, thank you for joining me for that rant, because that was something that-
I clearly had to get that off of my chest because, uh, I just, um...
I think we're figuring it out, but I think one of the things that we-- that you-- what I like about you and really respect about you is that you have-- there's a level of like, "Hey, I, I, I'm figuring this stuff out.
It's complex," um, versus people that speak with, in our field, with such deterministic language, "This does this.
I don't know how it does it, but because I said it, and because it worked for this one McDonald All-American that I knew one-- uh, a couple years ago, this is the way." And then everybody jumps on board, and no one ever criticizes and thinks like, "Hey, does this make sense, or why might it make sense, and should this-- should I even consider this in my setting?" So that's like my-
... one of my biggest things and, and I know you, you're, you're good about that stuff.

And, um, you know, I think I've fo- I followed your work for a long time now, before we even met, what, two weeks ago now.

I always just find it refreshing to, like, have these conversations, and, you know, hopefully we can reach people that, like, it may just spark some, you know, uh, different thought process or spark questions.

But, um, I do think the longer you're in it, the more r- you realize, like, there's so many different ways to achieve the outcomes, you know, that, that you want.

But we do get so, like, laser focused on making sure that we are, like, checking all these boxes.

And I do think, like, it comes back to, like, what we talked about, like, and I think this even plays into the technology conversation, is I do think there's a general lack of coaching eye still when it comes to not coaching movements that we're taught how to coach in the weight room.

Like, we all know how to coach a squat, you know? But, like, really understanding, like, when it comes to those return to play tests, everything's symmetrical.
