Isolation and anxiety are threatening the next generation of professionals before they even hit the workforce. Right now, students need real-world connection and guidance more than ever to transition…
I may have written a few things from time to time about it in public forums, but I do get frustrated about the lament about on this generation.
And so really speak into that, you know, Sandy, I'll start with you is what has it meant for you? Cause you are such a devoted to not just to the program, but you are a devoted mentor.
I mean, I know that people that you mentor outside of this program are I think Patricia and I both probably consider you our mentor at this point.
So you do it in so many forms and fashions, but specifically to this generation, what do you wish the people that don't spend time with them as much as you do, what do you wish they knew about this generation?
Because I have been coming back to ASU and speaking to classes from the day I got my first job.
And at that time, I can remember writing my email address on the board and saying, if you have any questions, if I can help you, call me.
And I would say over those kind of years, I did that with probably 300 students.
So what I'm finding out now, if I say if I give my email address, I'm going to have more people follow up on that.
And so I think sometimes this generation, people think that they are kind of smarty and they don't think that they can learn anything from us.
