Craig HarmonGuestJane ButlerHostSo what is it that you do day to day? Because like many of us, we sit in the back of the plane.

But ultimately, when we are physically at the job, we will typically put on the uniform, get in a car or get picked up, taken to the airport, go in, sign on.

We start working through our flight plan package, all of the notices that we need to read about navigation aids, en route airfields, weather, build the picture in our mind, work out our fuel, how much we're doing, look at the load.

So we will probably be seen for the first time maybe coming through at a security, putting our stuff all in the same bins there and find out we're on the same flight.

And then, yes, we go and we lock behind the door and we start our procedures to prepare the aircraft and away we go through that day in, day out.

Sometimes if you're flying short haul, you might be doing that two, three times a day, up, back, different ones.

If you're flying something like long haul for myself, you put the uniform on, you go, it's a long flight and it might be 20 hours later that you finally then get to the hotel and are finished at the other end.
