The fact that OpenAI has quickly adopted Temporal, a rapidly expanding AI ecosystem, and has even entered into a partnership with Crystal Palace FC shows that its business strategy is to pursue…
Christina StathopoulosHostFor someone, I think looking at this from the outside, though, it's easy to think that it's all about the brand awareness.
Like you said, a logo on the shirt, right? I know this goes well beyond just putting a logo on a football shirt.
What's the part of the partnership that you think people might be overlooking? Yes.
Yeah, so I mean, I kind of sort of touched on it, but it is serving your community, basically.
And so, you know, what we're starting to see is the kind of cross pollination of the two communities.
But as a practical example, we are running a meetup at the Crystal Palace Stadium next month, which is super exciting for us as a company because we get this fantastic venue that we can use.
Our developers can come there and not only learn about temporal and durable code execution, but also do it in this incredibly unique environment So, you know, that's fantastic for us as a company.
On the Crystal Palace side, Crystal Palace have a charity called Palace for Life, and they are very much involved in the South London community where they reach out with sporting initiatives and educational initiatives.
So the hope there... or not just a hope, the actuality there is the fact that Temporal are going to bring their skill sets to that initiative.
And we can talk to people in the South London community about getting into technology, software engineering, AI, areas that maybe people in that area might not traditionally think about going into.
And so we can bring that, you know, layer of expertise and passion to that community as well.
So again, really the takeaway is very community focused in both parts, but very much a partnership working together, serving both of our communities.
And I'm hoping at some point those communities will definitely intertwine and cross-pollinate with each other.
So yeah, again, it's really exciting to be part of that at the start of it as well.
I'm sure there's Crystal Palace fans who happen to also be developers or in the community for sure.
And I need to sign up for that event if it's going to be at the stadium, like you said.
