Johnny half of the punk band the bullies I became a bullies fan by first hearing their gimme gimme gimme on the amp records as a hard-on from Tromaville compilation and From there being this was the dying days of Napster early days of internet message board heavy communication being able to find more of their music that way finding it local indie stores with trip up to Minnesota and And it wasn't until 2002 when there was a VH1 special on the impact of 9-11 on the music industry and they featured footage of the bullies and played Gimme Gimme Gimme that I realized that Johnny Heff was such an incredible person and unfortunately was one of those who sacrificed to save so many on September 11th and I've always loved the Bullies music, and the impact and contribution is a type that is never forgotten in the New York music scene.
And I'm hoping his friends and loved ones, as well as the friends and loved ones of everyone feeling it today, find some comfort.
