Gavin O'CallaghanWell, I think he was so much more than a musician.
He was a lovely person, all that he did, um, for charity, and he thought, he, you know, he thought about people, he cared about people, and I think that's why there's so many people here today.
My, my last memory would be for my 21st.
He dedicated Star, Star, "I Want to See My Vicar Street." He got my family in on the guest list, and, uh, sang that song for me at my 21st, which was a while ago.
[laughs] Um, so yeah, that's my last memory of Glen.
And, uh, we've known Glen for a long time, and, uh, we were invited here 26 years ago to play some shows with The Frames, and, um, then played with him in, in the States and Chicago and, and New York and other places, and just stayed in touch.
A real generous spirit.
He was always a great person for bringing people together, and a great character and big heart and brilliant songwriter and everything, so just want to pay our res- respects today.
I think he'll be remembered for his kindness and his, his generosity, um, and for helping out other musicians and, and of course, like, the songs.
The songs will always be there, so that's kinda comforting.
