Nick TrimGuestJordanHostNateHostSo that was Nick trim.
That was literally the conversation I wanted to have.
I wanted like an inside kind of scoop on like, what is it like you're one year down on what will hopefully like what will really hopefully be like a great career as a professional angler.
Uh, what'd you learn? What'd you not expect? What, what hit you that you weren't ready for? What went good? What went bad? What lures did you use? What lures did you not? That was awesome.
That was a really real conversation.
I love that.
Yeah, it was about as real as it could get.
I don't know, maybe the most surprising part, and I don't know why, I guess, it is to me, but like he said, how he didn't meet a single person on the tour that rubbed him the wrong way or he had issues with or something like that.
I just feel like...
With that number of guys, 101 or whatever it is, all the most ultra-competitive bass fishermen in the world.
They're all just cool cats out there doing their thing.
That's very reassuring, I want to say.
I like that.
Yeah, I might actually try to shoot for the elites now, now that I heard that.
Yeah.
Next week, I'm going to figure out how to use a bait caster.
And then past that, I'm going to go straight for the elites.
And the other thing he said that was dope was there's no drama.
Because you and I both know two, three years ago, it was like nothing but drama between the forward facing.
Oh, yeah.
and the chicken tenders, and dudes finding little gray areas in the rules and all that.
And then, like, because if you remember two or three years ago when the NPFL, Brad Fuller was like, F it.
We're just done with LiveScope.
We're done with forward-facing.
That was like, what? But it was like such a squash to drama and – bass elites you know and that was like when the elites were changing rules every 45 seconds and so was major league fishing and and honestly though like you know like them don't like them whichever league you you you i like to watch both honestly and there's absolute hammer hammer bad mama jamas on both and an pfl um but i feel like they were just doing that whole rule change thing because they were trying so hard to get it right like they were trying so hard to get the rules sustainable and livable and made sense for everybody and so they had to kind of flip them inside out back and forth till they got them right and now that's kind of behind us you think nate like because he's right i didn't really think about it there's not really that drama now is there
