Podcast Ep 147 Dan, Paul, and Steve Allen review the Netflix Documentary Tyson

So there was a four-part, four-hour, plus four-hour, probably close to five, over five-hour documentary on Netflix on Mike Tyson.

I thought it was great.

I thought it was good.

Thought, Steve? I watched it.

Times I hated it, times I loved it, which is kind of fitting for Tyson.

Go figure.

Well, the first two parts were great because it reminded us of just what an animal he was in the ring.

I mean, in his first few years, first three years, second only to Ali.

I would never put him above Ali.

Nobody's above Ali.

He was fantastic.

For me, first episode...

I feel like so much of what we already knew.

And when you guys told me, okay, let's watch the Tyson documentary, talk about it.

At first, I'm like, well, for 40 years, there's very little I feel that we didn't know about Mike Tyson.

Between the troubled upbringing, this, that.

So the first episode, yeah, I didn't realize.

Can I remind you how... ridiculous, above everybody else this guy was from day one.

But I'm like, eh, I knew he was in trouble.

So for me, I like the later episodes a little bit better for the behind-the-scenes stuff, whereas the first episode, but you guys liked it better.

Many people liked it better.

I'm in the minority on this one.

Well, the first

episode, I thought it was nice to see, when he was young, how he came out of the bad upbringing, Gus D'Amato rescued him, he went to the Catskills, and when he started fighting, once he started to turn professional... how he just mowed through people.

I like to see that.
