well uh the song we're talking about today a little bit is ammunition which is a rocker and of course off beautiful let down I was the same way where, you know, wearing out that album, uh, for me, it was, uh, this takes me back, but Lincoln park hybrid theory was the first one.

And from that point on though, I, I've, I've shared this on the pod, but after meant to live, this is your life comes on and it's just okay.
Totally.

And sometimes this one might get a little lost because of how many good songs are on the album.

So to me, this one, when Absolution came out, it kind of reminded me a little bit.

And then I was like, is it just because they're both 10 letter words that start with A or is there more to it? And they're not like...

ammunition i think is an e major uh absolutions i think an f sharp minor so okay bpm is a little different to it so they're not they're not like structured the same in those ways but i think if you go and listen to the intros of both i think that's where i was thinking all right they got the got the rock riff but it's like one guitar and then here comes the full band and then it's a rocker so maybe there are some some similarities but maybe yeah yeah totally But what about for, I know we've done a lot of other beautiful lay down songs, but what are some of your memories or thoughts about ammunition?
This song, I feel like in listening to it again more recently, I feel like it always connected with me more significantly now that I think I'm older.
I think at the time, when I was younger, I listened to it and I was like, oh, the energy is so sick and it's such a great rock vibe.
I don't really understand what we were talking about.
I think...
I love what the song kind of gets at because it talks about, you know, we are the fuse and the ammunition and, you know, you could blame it on blame the state of the world, blame your frustrations, blame whatever on anything that goes on in the world.
And in reality, it's like, you can point fingers all you want, but you are also part of the problem in some, in some cases, you know, and you're by, by throwing more hate, like vitriol and like negativity into the world, you're just, you're, you know, adding to the noise, but you're, you're contributing to that kind of same thing.
At least that's how I understand it.
Cause I spent, I spent many, many years being frustrated by, you know, politics and various things.
And it would, I would get into arguments with family members and different things and it just wasn't helpful, you know, and I was just making the problem worse by, you digging in my heels and being more like you know pointing fingers and that kind of thing when it's like i have such a i have my own issues and my own problems and i'm you know if i if i'm pointing fingers i'm missing the the reality of you know the issues that i have to and the ways that i'm making add adding to this and making it worse so um i think that's at least how i understand the song and i think it's resonated with me more recently and um it's crazy that they wrote that in, you know, the early two thousands and it's still applies today.
Yeah.
