90210’s Jennie Garth on Choosing Herself and the Cost of Starting Over

In 1995, Jennie Garth said “I choose me” as Kelly Taylor on *Beverly Hills, 90210*. It would take decades for her to learn how to live those words herself. In this episode of SUPERWOMEN, I sit down with Jennie to talk about growing up famous, rebuilding her confidence after hitting her lowest point, and the moment she realized she had to stop waiting for someone to rescue her. Now 54, Jennie is taking control of her next chapter. She's launched a fashion brand with her daughter Lola, written *I Choose Me*, and found a new sense of ambition outside Hollywood. But building a second career has brought an unexpected challenge: she's exhausted, and the freedom she's working toward still feels years away. Jennie opens up about starting over after 50, learning to trust herself, and figuring out how to make room for the life she's working so hard to build. **Episode Guide:** (00:00) Jennie Garth needs no introduction (02:35) Why she got tired of waiting for the phone to ring (07:10) Fame is a false reality (09:24) “I’m 54 now and I am exhausted” (11:58) Leaving town for two years to be with her kids (14:47) QVC called, and she’d never designed clothes before (18:44) Asking her daughter Lola to be her business partner (28:20) The 90210 line she said but didn’t live (31:16) Waiting for a prince and hitting her lowest point (35:12) Can she really slow down at 60?
