After discovering the dead body of Jimmy, Beau has to decide how to handle two situations at once, especially with the very recent reunion with her father. The withdrawal begins to take hold of…
Beau.
You have just had a reunion with your father who's been missing from the picture for years.
You knew you had to get some sort of answers, some sort of
information,
but out on the street in front of your mother's home was not the place to do it.
So you took your father back to the bar, the Waiting Owl, the place that has been the gathering spot for your coterie for quite some time, and a place that, for a time, you called home.
A bar owned by your long-missing companion, Valentina, who has been in the custody of Guru for several weeks at this point.
As you were preparing yourself, getting that internal strength to have a very serious and potentially emotional conversation with your father on the heels of an already emotional conversation with your mother, you were caught by a very horrifying surprise when you arrived at the waiting owl.
The one known as Jimmy or Ricky or what's his name, the retainer of the coterie, the bartender of the Waiting Owl, was found splayed out on one of the tables, his insides having apparently been removed and most assuredly dead.
as you walk in the door, blood spattered across the ground and seemingly almost every visible surface, no assailant in sight.
It's just you and your father inside a place that you once viewed as safe, you once viewed as secure, and now you realize to be anything but.
What is going through Beau's mind as they come upon this gory sight?
Before seeing the sight, the only thing on their mind is the anger of their father being gone for 19, 20 years-ish.
And then seeing this, it is replaced by fear.
By... just a shock of not knowing what to do, they freeze for a moment before pulling out their phone and attempting to contact August first, because August had the contact that helped deal with the first dead body that Beau had dealt with in the past few months.
Are you texting or calling?
Calling.
Okay.
As you shakily pull out your phone and dial the number for August, it doesn't even ring.
It goes immediately to voicemail.
They'll hang up, try calling one more time, and if the same thing happens, they'll send a text saying, hey, Jimmy's dead.
Need backup at the bar immediately.
When you send a text message, depending on what service you use, it will dictate a specific color to the text message.
Now, I don't know what kind of cell phone Bo has, and rather than spend a lot of time getting into that, I will say that the text message you send does not appear in the same color as it did before, meaning either that the phone is out of service or out of network or something of the like, but the message is not going through as intended.
And then they will try to contact Jeremiah.
Beau.
