In our final instalment from Season 1, we’re talking to Mat Preston, our Head of Presales, to take a look into future demand in the era of AI, and what we need to be thinking of next in the changing…
Matt PrestonGuestBen ShoesmithHostFrom your perspective, where are you seeing the most exciting developments and what is pushing these changes?

We've been talking about it for the last few years, but I think what is new and emerging is just the massive pace of change, the explosion of uptake in AI services.

That's all anybody's talking about, and it goes right across the spectrum, right down to the end user's name.

Now we're seeing that shift to inference into actual use, end user use of the technology.

And I think that And particularly getting into agentic AI, which we're seeing now more and more commonplace.

And we're seeing just use cases, real kind of interesting forums of people collaborating and sharing how they're using it and it went in the workplace for efficiencies and productivity.

Just in the UK alone, I can't quote the numbers off the top of my head, but Meta have invested billions.

And yeah, we're just seeing an explosion of, well, we're seeing new data centers and the talk of new data centers being built across the country.
For sure, and with the bandwidth requirements increasing, obviously there's a lot of conversations around growth as well, as we've just said.
