I thought too often he was trying to look for escape lanes when there was a clean pocket.

There was some inaccuracy, but there are multiple throws where I wish he would just hung in there for literally just a half a beat, a half a second longer.

And I think that he would have seen an opening and anticipated the route and anticipated the throw a little bit better.

I know it's a lot to ask to say, hey, why don't you go just go play like Brock Purdy? But There is a standard out there.

There is an expectation out there of what quarterbacks can do, and it was put on tape that a couple games ago when the Miami Dolphins did play the San Francisco 49ers, you want to talk about efficiency.

Brock Purdy did such a good job, along with Kyle Shanahan, obviously, when it comes to designing the plays.

It looks like their philosophy right now with Jeff Halfley is to play a little bit of an off coverage, go ahead and throw the short ball, and then we're going to rally on those checkdowns and those short throws and make the tackle.

Part of the reason why it's not working for them, and they're giving up 80% completion percentage, which is worse than the league, is because they're not getting a rush to go along with it.
