According to the Mesorah, there was no concept of a Shvanah after Atanua Gedolah.
And one of the ways that we know that is that Ben Asher explicitly gives an example of a Shvanah on the word Pinchas.
It's irrefutable that according to the Mesorah, there was no concept of a Shvanah after Atinu HaGedolah.
This particular rule of Shvanah and Shvanach was invented after the time of the Mesorah.
I'm increasingly more inclined to go back to the way the Mesorah did it, and I think you should be too, but in the very least on the word Pinchas.
