That means I'm going to start with Najra Allen, who had a fair few good defensive moments, which won't show up on the stat sheet, although was pretty quiet in terms of impact with ball in hand.
While she defended well, she didn't get a lot of the footy.
She was tidy when she did have the ball and certainly cracked in from a defensive point of view, dealing with a very tough matchup in Jock for much of the day.
Although I wouldn't have minded in the last quarter a bit of a professional foul on Jock to prevent her from getting out the back and kicking a real game-turning goal.
Allen had five disposals, of which four were kicks going at 80%, so she was tidy when she had it.
She just didn't get a lot.
Laid three tackles, had two intercepts, a contested possession, a mark, and an inside 50%.
She worked high up the ground throughout the game to try and get involved, although didn't put up massive numbers.
Athleticism-wise, she was clearly above the level at times, and she tried to put it to good use, although she wasn't able to find much of the ball or have much of a great impact on the game.
She had a couple of nice runs to space, including for her goal, where she read the play really well.
Although, like I said, didn't find a lot of the footy.
Decent enough when she had it, just couldn't find it as much as I would have liked.
She had seven disposals of which three were kicks playing as a high half forward going at 71% efficiency, took two marks of which one was contested, had two contested possessions, two intercepts, a tackle, and a goal from some nice work to get out the back and ready to play well.
Next up, Lavinia Cox.
She was tight enough coming out of defence with her distribution by foot.
She had a couple of poor disposals, but a couple of really nice kicks as well.
Naturally, the game, which I'll touch on later, meant she had some patches where she didn't get involved for long periods of time, and then some patches where she had three or four possessions in a couple of minutes.
She was one of the better performed AFLW listed players on the day with her ability to find the footy and to try controlling it out of defense.
She had 10 disposals, of which seven were kicks going at 50% efficiency, three contested possessions, two intercepts, a mark, a tackle, and a clearance.
Despite appearing to have her minutes pretty heavily regulated, potentially as the carryover emergency for the next day, she was quite clearly for me the standout of the AFLW-listed players.
She played on ball, her agility was clearly above the level, and played a nice blend of inside and outside in the midfield, winning it in close, and then working to space really well.
Her ball use wasn't quite what we would have liked it to have been, but other than that, it was a very solid outing.
