Thorin and Mauisnake are joined by FUT Esports coach Coolio to open on the SunPayus signing, with Coolio explaining exactly what the team was missing on CT side and why a second calling voice mattered…
Okay.
You're on deck now, Koolio.
What is your good point? What's good right now?
Yeah, my good point is Aurora.
Like, maybe it's a bit early to say that it's, like, really good, but I feel like they are improving a lot compared to their last season.
So I, I really like the addition of Ash and Jimpphat, and also Kixson.
Like, I think what they did in this, uh, talent realm was really good, like, showing by them.
Like, they beat Vitality also in the upper bracket final, and then they lost in the best of five, but I think it's kinda understandable because it was a best of five, so their map pool is not, [clears throat] not that strong.
But I think the way they play and, mm, how they do things, I really like it.
I, I used to watch them, and I think they just improved a lot.
And even though they improved and they have these good results, I think right now they miss a little bit of Santorin, like the level he was playing.
Like, he had kind of bad tournaments in the last three events.
But I think if they can find his, mm, firepower back or the consistency, then it can be a scary team, and obviously they still need, like, one month or something.
But I feel like for the major, they can be a really strong team, to be honest.
They're, they're a team that's definitely growing on me the more I watch them.
Um, I had some takes kind of in the beginning that I don't, I didn't see that this roster...
I'll just refer to them by...
It's that the, um...
I didn't really see this roster, i- in terms of succeeding this season, to be much more likely to find success than what the last season did for them, which was that they made it to the semifinals of the major.
And so even though I understand the future of this team, uh, and where it could potentially go, say with a roster move or the fact that they're pivoting to English, um, I was not completely sold.
And in a way, I think that some of what I said there is still kind of proving true that, I mean, having a top four finish is great, but I will say this, the eye test today was, was great.
Even though they did lose the series, I really like the way that Kixson was able to catch, kind of get a hold of that T side on Mirage versus Vitality.
I didn't...
It seemed like the whole game was gonna escape them.
I've seen some Kixson T sides before, especially on Falcons, where things just get really kind of ropey with them, and then they just, they've had, like, zero T side rounds on various halves kind of at, at breaking points in tournaments.
Okay.
