What It Takes to Put AI Into Production in Travel

So one of the themes that we've kind of heard about is, you know, this difference in demonstrating something in a pilot and kind of trusting it inside a live travel business.

Um, and your session was called, uh, What It Took to Go Live, which gets to the heart of that.

Um, so what has to happen before a promising AI pilot can be trusted-

So you're mentioning the panel, uh, and what I-- So I was with a hotel, uh, operator, and, uh, I think both of us agreed that the best way to start, uh, exploring, uh, agentic commerce use cases is really to start from the business problem, uh, we are trying to solve.

Can be, uh, a small business, uh, problem, uh, we need to start, uh, uh, tackling, but that's-that's the best way.

It doesn't start with the technology.

It really starts, uh, with the business outcome we are, we are looking for.

So that's number one.

And second, I think the consensus in the room, and very core to what we do in Amadeus, is how do we, right from the start, put in place governance, a legal framework that will enable these use cases to be not only piloted but then deployed, uh, later on.

And that's really what, what we are doing, uh, in Amadeus with the AI Delivery Hub, uh, building AI and agentic capability that can then be reused throughout the different divisions of Amadeus, so our hospitality, airlines, uh, travel sellers, so that we can feel confident that these capabilities are built, uh, with the right level of, uh, compliance, uh, and governance.
