... for the emotional disconnection between you and your partner, right? So I got a lot of touch and love and connection with the kids, but I recognized, ooh, like my relationship with my partner was not wonderful, right? There was conflict and there was distance, and I didn't treat him very well, and I own that, right?
It became very toxic and we just sort of lived in that, you know, space, right? But again, as, as a family we were great.
We would have a good time with the kids, right? The kids really became the buffer between the two of us.
And then you hit empty nest syndrome and you're like, "Oh, my God, who is this person standing in front of me? I don't even like them anymore."
So, you know, leaving at 50 is a huge shift and I, I think that some, some people may say, "Well, man, I already got here.
Like, let's just, let's stick with it." So Sade, what made you decide to finally choose something different at 50?
I looked at myself and I'm like, "I'm 50 years old," and, you know, I, I think there's gotta be more to life than this.
