Hyperdrive - Series 2

So yes, this is our second episode looking at Series 2 of Hyperdrive.

There were only two series, so this is our second ever and indeed the last ever episode we're doing on Hyperdrive.

Now, I looked for Hyperdrive on Netflix and...

Well, I found Hyperdrive from 2019 and I might have watched all 10 episodes of it and it was fucking great.

So it's a 10 episode Netflix original series that describes itself as the fast and furious, but in real life.

Oh, I've heard of this.

Yeah.

Yeah, it's like a drifting competition with loads of street racing cars.

And it was like produced by Charlize Theron.

And like these custom cars take on obstacle courses where they have to like do wild ass shit where they drift their cars across stuff.

It was fucking great.

It was as compelling as wrestling.

And God damn.

It was like they had different characters like in the wrestling.

There was the young girl from Brazil.

There was the maverick from Texas.

There was the eccentric from Birmingham.

It was great.

And I'll be honest, I was so tight to the line of the deadline of watching actual hyperdrive because I was watching hyperdrive.

Oh, them Birmingham eccentrics that are all over the old Netflix.

He converted a van to drift.

It didn't work well.

I've just got this image of Ollie walking into the front room going, I thought you were watching the thing with Nick Frost, and just going, shh, shh, shh, shh.

Just staring more intently at the television.

Yeah.
