Summer YeagerHostI think that well
You've heard us talk many, many times about how it should be concerning to hear that a Christian always wants to be alone.
Yeah.
Because this life here is largely preparation for eternity, and that will be full of people.
So not liking anyone... or not ever wanting to be around people is not really a Christian.
It's not in the fruit of the spirit.
Definitely.
No.
And it just is not in the posture.
But I think it's somewhat... common or maybe popular or it's like a quirk that some people have adopted like a cynical quirk
um but it is it should
be a concern And not just because you're not behaving like a Christian, but I mean, when Christians don't behave like Christians, that is going to affect their sanctification.
That's going to affect their daily living, their happiness, their fellowship.
You know, one of the means of grace is going to involve, I mean, one definitively is going to involve you being around people.
But yeah, a really good way to not act like a Christian and a really good way to stunt your growth is surely going to be isolating yourself.
Now, I'm talking about isolation and an attitude of not wanting to be around others.
I'm not talking about like having a baby and going into hiding for six weeks.
I'm not talking about having a small, intimate, loyal friend group that you have done ministry with for 15 years.
And so they're just better friends than the people you just met.

You're talking about something very specific, which is the person who is intentionally isolating themselves.
Right.
Yes.
