Irankunda & Stensness star in UCL | Alex Gersbach - Sydney Derby | 14/10/26

Champions League, Manchester United went to Madrid and got beaten pretty comfortably in the end.

2-0 Atletico Madrid.

I don't think he's making that sound today.

He's Manchester, he's more of an Aston Villa fan today.

But this is extraordinary.

Post-game, they haven't got off to a good start.

They've been underwhelming in the Premier League, Manchester United.

Michael Carrick is the permanent manager after doing a great job as the interim last year.

once Ruben Amarim got the sack, but Lissandro Martinez is, uh, one of their key cogs.

He plays at the back.

He's a left-footed central defender.

He's not the tallest bloke going around, but he's a tenacious defender.

Uh, He wasn't happy when he was interviewed after this.

What about this lashing he's given the higher-ups at Manchester United? Sometimes it's a

reflection of the mirror of how is our club at the moment, you know? We did a fantastic season last season.

and now we expect more from the top, from up, to bring more players to compete because many teams bring many players as well and today also Atletico have an amazing team and they deserve to win today.

So this is not a Champions League quality squad?

Manchester

United have.

I expect

more, honestly.

I expect more.

From

everyone.

But what you're saying is you expected more investment in the squad in the summer.
