Let's talk Selling Sunset because filming for Season 10 is underway, and just days, days after filming for Season 10 started, Heather El Moussa and her husband, Tarik, went on vacation with their kids, and lo and behold, they had a home invasion during filming.
Isn't that convenient? I say that because if you recall from Season Nine, Mary Bonnet, AKA Scary Mary, had a home invasion, and the circumstances around Mary's home invasion were seen as sus, for lack of a better word.
And when you compare the behavior of Mary Bonnet and Jason Oppenheim on Instagram around the time of Mary's robbery to the behavior of Mary and Jason on camera as they talked about the robbery, there were a lot of inconsistencies, so much so that people who saw Selling Sunset were questioning whether or not the robbery was staged.
For example, I distinctly remember on Instagram, Jason Oppenheim made several videos about Mary's robbery.
One video, he was blasting local and state politicians because even though the fires at the time were raging, homes were getting, you know, burnt to rubble, and thousands and thousands of families were getting displaced, Jason Oppenheim was furious that when the police were called about Mary's robbery, they said they would send someone over to take a report.
"When we got there, our little dog was in the street, and that means our dog was in danger.
Our dog was in danger." That's literally an Instagram post that Jason Oppenheim made.
Why do I point that particular video out? Because he pointed out the fact that the police did not want to take fingerprints, yet when you go back and you watch Selling Sunset, there's a scene where Jason is looking at the robbers on his phone because, of course, the robbers were captured on security cameras.
So which is it? Were they wearing gloves, therefore no fingerprints, or do you want the police to go over and dust for prints so they could find your prints, Romain's prints, Mary's prints, and no one who actually robbed the place because, as you pointed out, they wore gloves.
There's another scene in the infamous flower delivery scene where Brie was like, "How the hell did they even know where you have a secret key?" That's a question Mary Bonnet could not answer.
And in that scene, when she's in the closet with Brie Tiesi, Scary Mary Bonnet is very high on cocaine.
So much so that after Mary Bonnet freaks out on production because Chelsea Lazkani's flower delivery arrived, Romain said, "That's Scary Mary coming out." But in the closet with Brie, you can tell that Mary, based on her, like, erratic behavior and the way that she was describing things, she was just coming across as someone who was not sober.
You know, like, all these different inconsistencies in how she's talking about her home invasion.
And then the number value of what she says went missing also changed because in a, you know, direct message to me around the time of the robbery, she told me, Mary Bonnet specifically told me that she was robbed while she was out doing charity work for the victims of fires and lost about $200,000 in jewelry.
