Mairead HennessyGuestCo-Host / Business ExpertHostDanHostBecause I have come across, I've been working like you Dan, I've been working with businesses now for over 20 years.
And the one thing that they don't realise that when I ask, what are you building here? And they go, I'm building a business.
Actually, you're not.
You're only continuing to be a self-implied Whatever.
So, like, I've come across it now in a strange area.
Real estate.
Auctioneers.
You know? In a couple of cases.
That they're not really building a business.
They're selling houses on a daily basis.
And that's what they're doing.
And then they suddenly think that they'll be able to sell their business.
But they have actually nothing to sell.
You know? Like...
Why would people buy your business when the business is actually you? And you were not for sale.
You know, as an individual, you were not for sale.
So we're working at the moment now very successfully with an auctioneering business.
But we're building systems, processes, you know, marketing tools, building a business that...
I'd be able to literally hand that business over to Mairead and say, right, Mairead, there you are.
The business is there.
It's not about them.
It's a business.
It's systems, processes, marketing tools, everything that they need, that their business is saleable.
you know it's now a business and i can hand that to marie and say right okay look after their succession out there and all that can and all the tech stuff stuff i know absolutely nothing about don't want to know anything about I would gladly end that all tomorrow.
