Chatting with SEGRA Directors on what's on the horizon for the regions this year
As we enter into that federal election mode that I talked about, what are the election promises that you're most wanting to hear from our politicians on all sides of the fence? Well, Scott,
I live in a very large rural electorate, and you'd think the election's been running for about six months, the way they've been promising this and promising that.
But there seems to be a real community feel in a lot of the election promises going ahead, certainly a lot.
do with sport and recreational infrastructure and also particularly aged health and aged care systems and facilities either whether it's urgent care clinics or a lot of services that have been provided in home so particularly in our area we've got quite a high age population but also trying to get people away from the major hospitals the urgent care clinics
are actually being quite successful
so there's quite a lot of in our area at It's a lot of grassroots infrastructure and money for community clubs and sporting clubs to try to garner the votes.
But to me, they're the thing that I think my community will want.

How
So I suppose if we look at what I'd like to hear from the government, it's more... investment in some of the strategic infrastructure projects in regions.
So it's more that enabling infrastructure, the digital, the power, the roads, the ports.
I suppose in our area, we've been identified as an area for biomanufacturing.
So I'd probably love to see more capital investment in some of the trunk infrastructure needed in this area.
Investors, before they invest, they want to see that these areas exist.
And at the moment, it's a cane field.
So I'd probably like to see some promises in that way.
Yeah.
Well, you know, life's pretty good here.
