IT'S COLLAB TIME - and we're back with our mate Fergo from Off the Ruck for 40 minutes of fury. We've got a fresh Wallabies squad to chew through - headlined by the return of Jordan Petaia and a…
The return of Jordan Pataya, something that I did not think was ever going to happen.
But even me with my Morane hat on would not have seen this pick from the blue team.
We know how that went, and he's gone and chased his NFL dream currently with D-Rocks after a stick with Perpignan.
Is he Australia's Panacea in the outside backs or at 13? I have no idea, but Fergode Leskis seems to think so.
We got Brumby's home venue shift for two games baked in with the release of the Wallabies squad.
So 15 minutes or so was spent on talking about this new venue shift for for two games in 2027 Super Bowl Pacific, and we got four or five questions on the Wallabies squad.
What he did say, and I probably will in the YouTube episode, put in a little comment from Les Kiss about what he thinks about the Jordan Bataille situation.
But I think also what the whole situation with Bataille is says is that he's casting the net wide.
And I think for a lot of people in the Australian landscape, that's what a lot of people have wanted.
So it's, it's, it's a hard, it's a hard fan base to please when I think you're getting question marks about Jordan, but then you've been asked to scour the world for the best talent.
Uh, I must say that's kind of a bit of a paradox or a little bit of a catch 22 for Les Kiss that he's found himself here in.
Well, usually I'd say no, they're dragging in a veteran who's passed their prime, but Jordi Pettai is 26.
He has not even hit his prime as an athlete, and yet he's a veteran of two World Cups and has been playing around the world now for a couple of years.
The teenage prodigy that we saw eight years ago coming up playing super rugby, toying with defenders at the World Cup and ultimately thrown to the wolves a bit by Michael Checker in that quarterfinal.
I think it's a different prospect coming back, but still the injury concerns remain.
