What Was Brock Lesnar REALLY Like To Work With Early On

Now, Brock Lesnar, all these guys, you know, Brock Lesnar, Batista, John Cena, they all spent time in OVW, which was stationed outside of Louisville, Kentucky.

And Jim Cornette and Danny Davis ran it.

It was like WWE's development place, you know.

And once they felt...

Once Cornette and Danny Davis thought you were ready, they'd tell the office, hey, look at this guy, and they'd bring him up to the main roster.

Now, at this time, Dean Malenko is done wrestling, and they're making him an agent.

So they send him to OVW for a couple weeks to, you know, just get the feel of what you do as an agent, right? And Dean notices Brock and thinks he's ready.

And he calls Vince and asks Vince if he can bring me down.

And me and Dean will work against Brock and somebody else down there.

And ask me what I think.

So I worked with Brock twice down there.

Once with Sheldon Benjamin.

And the other kid, I can't ever remember his name.

It was really easy.

But he was so fucking strong and just a really big kid.

And I thought he was like worth billions of dollars.

So somebody down there talked to Vince and told him that he was ready.

So they bring him up to the main roster now.

And he does dark matches for a few weeks, you know, at the TVs and stuff.

And since I worked with him down in OVW, Vince thought it would be good if I worked with him up there.

So he had me working with Brock, sometimes in six-man, sometimes tags, you know, single sometime.

And...

Then Vince would ask me what I thought afterwards.
