So in this elegant article, the authors demonstrate that blinded three-dimensional computational modeling and peak area stretch predicts patient-specific risk of aortic, uh, root rupture during TAVR, uh, and, and, well, which is obviously a very, uh, very, um, very bad and serious complication of TAVR, uh, and that is important to predict and prevent.
And actually, they found that this modeling actually outperforms, uh, traditional planning metrics alone.
And, but despite its lethality, aortic root rupture during TAVR, uh, remains very difficult to predict using standard preprocedural predictive models.
So this study demonstrate that computationally derived peak area stretch identify patient at risk, uh, of this, um, very serious complication with high accuracy.
So these findings alight the, uh, critical limitation in current, in current planning approaches and offer a data-driven method to overcome, uh, this, uh, limitation.
