Next week I celebrate 10 years since leaving my corporate job and becoming a coach. In that time I've built and grown 3 separate 6 figure businesses and there's one thing I absolutely could not have…

So what is this one thing that I've gotten right and that is literally the s- the s- most core, solid foundation of my Runner Rising Academy? And that is choosing a niche.

And I've made some mistakes on that when we go into, like, niche versus profitable niche, and we're gonna talk about that, because you do wanna make sure that you choose the right niche, but you also...

One of the things we're also gonna talk about is some of the mistakes people make when, or run coaches make when they try to niche down, and one of them is overthinking the niche and then not committing to it long enough to really see it play out.

So just to, like, give you, circle back, I've had multiple niche, like, niches, niche-i.

The first time I was ever asked to speak and give business advice, guess what the topic was? Create, finding your niche.

This has really been my bread and butter and my specialty, and has allowed me to stand out, and what I, the phrase that I like to think of is instead of being one in a milli- or no, one of millions, you wanna be one in a million, meaning the only one.

And I think what we often think as coaches is, especially when we're newer, we come into the space, we see what everyone else is doing, and we think, "We don't wanna ruffle feathers.

Let's just do what they do." And honestly, for a long time on social media, doing what other people did and copying them worked because of the way that the algorithm was set up.

The algorithm previously, as you know, was you go onto Instagram, you follow people, then you see posts of those that you follow.

And so if I'm, if you're following me and, or if you're following one account but you're not following an, a different account, you're not gonna know that those two accounts are putting up pretty similar content, right? But the way that it is now is th- that people are only seeing the best content.

So if you're posting running tips for runners who want to run faster and run stronger and achieve their running goals, everyone, you're never gonna be seen on social media except for by your mom and, like, your handful of people who have found you and have connected with you on something.
