Episode 76 - Celebrate the Mountain King

My name is Sam Pratt, and this week we're gonna be wrapping up my coverage of The Hobbit.

So if you haven't been with us for the past couple episodes, um, I decided to go into The Hobbit completely blind, so no spoilers, no previews.

Um, my first time reading almost every card in the set was my first draft of the format, which was an experience.

Um, and then after that, I decided to cut myself off from discussion about the format with people to the best of my ability, and I also did not look at any of the Seventeen Lands data for the duration of my run from Silver or wherever I was to Mythic.

Um, and we are going to be lifting the veil off the Seventeen Lands data today.

I'm getting my grubby little mitts all over it.

We're gonna, um, sort of match up my, um, independently created big-picture view of the format, card evaluation in the format, with the general consensus, sort of what people are saying about this format, what the data says about this format.

I'm really excited to dig into it.

Um, this is gonna be a pretty dense episode, so I'm going to, for the most part, not read the card text of any of the cards, because I, I think that would just add way too much time, and it's a small set also.

There aren't that many cards in the format.

I think most people know almost all the cards, so fair warning there.
