How much suspension travel do we REALLY need on a mountain bike? Dan and Sage dive into the “over-biked” debate, asking whether less suspension travel can actually mean more fun, more responsiveness…
All right, well, let's get into the comments from episode, let's see, we got episode 49, and we did have a quick rip come out when, when we were gone.
That's right.
Yeah.
Yeah, so-
The quick rip was mountain biking will change your life, adventure, fitness, and lifelong friends.
Yes.
And that was fun and how we get into mountain biking.
You talked a little bit about why people might get out of mountain biking.
That's an interesting topic also, but first I wanna read this comment from Danny Wilson, and she wrote in a really lovely comment saying, you know, how she got into biking during COVID and, you know-
Yeah
... back into it from riding a bike as a kid.
And then just kind of on a whim decided to try riding Desert Classic at South Mountain.
Yeah.
And she says, "I knew within five minutes that I had found my sport.
It was so terrifying and exciting at the same time, just what my 40-something-year-old self needed.
I've been riding very consistently ever since.
The people I've met through mountain biking are simply amazing.
People who started out as riding friends have become some of my best friends.
This sport really has changed my life.
I'm so glad I found it, and I'm a much better person for it."
Yeah, yeah.
I, the, the line that stuck out to me on, on that comment was, uh, the friends becoming the best friends, and that is-
Yeah
...
so true.
