You're one of the very first DuckDuckGo employees, is this correct?

Yeah, I think it was technically the second employee back when we were just a few people around the Paoli office here in Pennsylvania.

So it's been a long 14 years, but I think it's been really exciting and things change so frequently that it doesn't really feel like we're doing the same insights or kind of same research over and over again.

Well, that's pretty good, but it's also useful because it means you also have about as long as a view as anyone on how people feel and think about privacy, you know, what they want protected, what they say versus what they do.

And so we came up with the name, the Chest, Wall, and Spine Deformity Study Group.

And then literally two weeks later, Nancy flew Melissa, my wife now, who was my study coordinator at the time, and I backed to Paoli, Pennsylvania.

And on a whiteboard, we designed the database, like what questions should we ask on the most basic level of all these patients that we're going to put in this study group database? And we drew it all out and figured it out.

Two weeks after that, the engineers were in my office entering all of our vector data that we had so far into this new database that we had sort of come up with.
