Another thing that has been weighing on my heart has been the Nolan Wells case.
The state of Mississippi claims that Nolan Wells drowned.
There has been so much secrecy around this case, and unfortunately, Unfortunately, most of us already knew what the outcome was going to be.
We knew what the outcome was going to be because we've seen this time and time again.
And not only during our lifetimes, but our parents and our grandparents and our great grandparents, they've told us.
They've told us.
But as the years go on, they're still a part of Black America that wants to believe that that we can have a society where there is justice for all.
My heart breaks for his family.
My heart breaks for the people that love him.
And I want to say they are very strong.
They are strong people because let me tell you something.
I believe that I'm a good person.
I love people deeply.
I am empathetic.
I'm altruistic at my core.
I have one nephew.
My nephew is 20 years old.
My nephew is in a fraternity.
My nephew is in college.
My nephew is a good-looking, smart young man.
My nephew is loved.
But if my nephew went out with a group of his white friends and didn't come back I'm not waiting for the police.
I'm not waiting for justice.
We're all going to cry together.
That's what's going to happen.
