Charity that breeds dependence is not ideal.
So if I help you in a way that you need me tomorrow, that's not the ideal form of charity.
That's not the best way to go.
So if I can help you in a way that that tomorrow will allow you to fend for yourself.
That's the best form of charity.
Now it turns out from today's Hayom Yoim that this ideal charity is exactly the charity and the type of kindness that Hashem practices with us.
