Well, we had the soy complex a little firmer overnight and early this morning as there was talk of China back in the market for US soybeans.
They did buy about four hundred and seventy thousand metric ton of soybeans here this morning, and that's about half of what the talk was yesterday, but maybe we'll see some more tomorrow.
That put a little pressure on the wheat, but the wheat, with the exception of Minneapolis, has come around.
Beans kind of sold the fact of that China business, and we're down seven, eight in the beans, corn down one to two.
Um, you know, bean harvest, uh, really has picked up here the last couple weeks and, uh, yield's probably a little better than expected in most areas.
So we're seeing a, you know, a little harvest pressure showing up here too on these soybeans.
Um, also, you know, the dollar's strong, as I r-mentioned earlier here, is kind of being pushed up by the, uh, inflation number out this morning, although it was just six tenths of one percent for the month, about three point six for the year.
Uh, so the dollar is up, uh, you know, five, six hundred points here this morning.
Um, again, but bonds have since, uh, firmed up, which suggests interest rates have, you know, at least leveled off for now.
Uh, you know, world prices in-- around the world are quite a bit higher than ours, especially in Western Europe, uh, for corn and wheat right now.
