Lance Richard | Feat Factor: House of Fear Interview

for you Like for me, it really started very, very young.

I was six, seven years old.

And fun fact, yeah, six, seven.

I was like, fun fact, I didn't know nothing about six, seven until I did Free Factor with Dita and Ethan.

So we'll dive into that.

But I was like six or seven years old and I was a big fan of All Show's Survivor Big Brother.

But our town, Opelousas, Louisiana, had a contestant who graduated with my mother.

And she was a really good friend of my mother, Krista Siegel.

Season two, Opelousas, Louisiana, she was... a dining server, and infamously, she had a showmatch with Mike Boogie.

So that's what I think put it on the map even more, because it made my mom...

We watched Survivor, we watched these other shows, we watched Real World, The Challenge, all of that.

But I think being able to be invested in someone and being like, oh, I went to high school with her.

Her and my mom have pictures and things together.

So it kept us watching it every week, all the days.

And I think that just concreted me.

Like most kids are sitting there watching cartoons, but my family, we watch competition reality shows.

So that kind of like brought that in.

It brought my love for it and it just like blossomed and grew.

And then the thought of it is like, hmm, I'm 13, I'm 14.

I want to really do a show.

It was the final season of Endurance.

It was the first show I ever applied for.

I was finally old enough to apply for Endurance.

And I was like, okay, if I get this, this is about to happen.

It didn't happen, but it gave me that like fire of like, okay, they got kids doing this competition style stuff.
